Winning with Heading Structure

Hierarchy Matters
Heading tags (H1-H6) help both users and search engine bots crawl and understand your content. Think of them like a table of contents for your page.
H1: Main Page Topic
H2: Major Section
H3: Sub-point
H2: Another Major Section
The H1 Golden Rule
Every page MUST have exactly one H1 tag. If you have zero, search engines might not understand your primary topic. If you have multiple, you dilute your SEO power and confuse crawler algorithms.
Semantic Accuracy
Do not use headings for styling. If you want big text, use CSS classes. Only use <h> tags if you are defining a new section or sub-section of content.
Avoid: H1 -> H3 -> H2
Preferred: H1 -> H2 -> H3 -> H2
