What is a Meta Description?
A meta description is an HTML element that provides a brief summary of a web page. While Google says meta descriptions aren't a direct ranking factor, they are massive for Click-Through Rate (CTR).

Finding the Sweet Spot
The ideal length for a meta description is between 120 and 160 characters. If it's too short, it doesn't give enough information. If it's too long, search engines will cut it off.

Writing for Conversion
-
Include a Call to Action: Encourage users to click with phrases like "Find out more", "Try for free", or "Read the full guide".
-
Match the Search Intent: Make sure the description accurately reflects what's on the page.
-
Unique per Page: Do not use the same description for multiple pages.
